Apple has been hit by several major security breaches in the past year, including one that led to the theft of personal data of millions of users.
The report says Apple’s iPhones, iPads, Macs and iPods were hacked by hackers who managed to access their encryption keys, unlock their phone or computers and then steal information, including credit card numbers and passwords.
Apple is reportedly still using the same encryption technology that was used for previous breaches, but is using a new chip that is designed to be less susceptible to attacks.
The company’s chips are manufactured by Qualcomm and Intel.
Apple uses chips from Qualcomm because it is the world’s biggest maker of chips, and the company has been relying on Intel’s processors for years.
