The Hollywood Reporter reported Wednesday that “Hollywood” will earn $7.9 billion this year, up 3% from last year.
The film has been on a roll over the past few years, taking in $2.4 billion in worldwide box office over the course of 2017.
Hollywood is expected to hit $7 million for “The Witch,” the second film in the franchise, and $8 million for the “Hustle and Flow” installment, the third installment in the series.
The third installment, which is slated for release next year, will have an expected $13 million to $15 million opening weekend, and will be the first of three films in the trilogy.
The first installment, “The Curse of the Were-Rabbit,” earned $4.3 million.
